Standard unreinforced Rubber Sleeves can be used for various low-pressure applications such as duct misalignment, anti-vibration couplings and silo outlets. We offer two basic alternatives, hand–fabricated or mandrel-built sleeves.
Mandrel-built rubber sleeves available from stock.
Mandrel-built rubber sleeves consist of a seamless rubber tube produced with a smooth inner surface and cloth mark outer cover. As the name suggests, these sleeves are produced on a mandrel and therefore have no bonded seam. Outer covers can be ground smooth if required. A full range of mandrel-built rubber tubes ranging from 50mm up to 500mm diameter with a 3mm wall are available from stock in either tan para rubber or white food quality natural rubber.
Hand-fabricated rubber sleeves.
Hand-fabricated rubber sleeves are produced from bonded rubber sheet. They are manufactured with either a butt joint or overlap joint. Each sleeve can be produced to any diameter or length in wall thickness ranging from 1mm up to 20mm in various rubber compounds.
We can offer non-standard compounds upon request:
Including EPDM, Nitrile or Neoprene in either black or white food grade. These can also be bespoke manufactured with a thicker wall. For pressurised applications such as blow lines, we can manufacture thin-walled reinforced tubing in any compound.
